What's Happening?
The Segerstrom Center for the Arts is set to reprise its 'Taste of the Arts' dining series for the 2026-27 season. This program, which pairs multi-course dinners at local Orange County restaurants with performances, aims to encourage patrons to explore
new dining experiences and enjoy diverse artistic performances. The series will kick off on September 19, 2026, with a performance by Arturo O’Farrill and the Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra, accompanied by a dinner at Calo Kitchen + Tequila. Other highlights include a cabaret show with Tituss Burgess and a performance by the Takács Quartet, each paired with meals from renowned local eateries. The series will also feature a special performance by 'Wicked' star Jessica Vosk, with a dinner at AnQi Bistro. Subscriptions for the series are priced at $1,350 and are available for purchase.
Why It's Important?
The 'Taste of the Arts' series is significant as it fosters a cultural and culinary synergy, enhancing the overall experience for patrons. By integrating dining with performances, the Segerstrom Center for the Arts not only supports local restaurants but also enriches the cultural landscape of Orange County. This initiative could potentially increase attendance at both the restaurants and the performances, benefiting the local economy and arts community. Additionally, it offers a unique way for audiences to engage with the arts, potentially attracting a broader demographic and encouraging repeat visits.
