Devaeh Johnson, a standout player from Tascosa High School, has committed to join the West Texas A&M women's basketball program for the 2026-27 season. Johnson, a 5-foot-9 forward, recently completed her senior year, leading her team to the 5A Division
I Regional Championship game with a 32-4 record. She was recognized as the District Offensive Player of the Year and earned All-State honors. Johnson's versatility on the court, particularly her defensive skills and ability to score at all levels, was highlighted by WT head coach Josh Prock. Johnson plans to major in biology at West Texas A&M.
