What's Happening?
The Australian eatery chain THISBOWL, known for its Asian-inspired bowl dishes and Australian beach culture, has secured its fifth location in New York City at 1880 Broadway. The new café, occupying nearly 2,000 square feet, joins other retail tenants such as West Elm at the luxury condo tower 15 Central Park West. The retail portion of the property, owned by Global Holdings and Madison Capital, is 95% leased. Craig Panzirer, Global Holdings leasing head, emphasized the property's appeal to dynamic lifestyle brands. The deal was facilitated by a Newmark team representing THISBOWL, while Panzirer acted for the landlord.
Why It's Important?
The expansion of THISBOWL into a prime location in New York City highlights the growing demand for diverse culinary experiences
and lifestyle brands in urban centers. This move reinforces the strength of the property as a destination for forward-thinking brands, potentially attracting more businesses to the area. The high occupancy rate of the retail space indicates a robust market for retail and dining establishments, contributing to the local economy and offering more choices to consumers.
