Kendall Wells, a freshman at the University of Oklahoma, has set a new program record for home runs in a single season. On Friday night, Wells hit her 35th home run against Georgia, surpassing the previous record held by Jocelyn Alo. This achievement
also contributed to setting a new NCAA record for team home runs in a season. Wells is now just two home runs shy of the NCAA record set by Laura Espinoza in 1995. With five games remaining in the regular season, Wells has the opportunity to break this longstanding record.
