What's Happening?
Chef Wolfgang Puck, along with a team of 75 savory chefs and 45 pastry chefs, is preparing an extravagant menu for the 1,500 guests attending the post-Oscars dinner at the Governors Ball. The menu includes 7,000 glasses of champagne, 600 pizzas, and 90
kilograms of steak. In addition to the lavish meal, guests who do not win an Oscar will receive one of 2,000 mini chocolate statuettes dusted in gold. Puck has also announced that leftover food from the event will be distributed to Los Angeles' Skid Row, an area known for its large homeless population.
Why It's Important?
The Oscars Governors Ball is a significant event in the entertainment industry, showcasing not only the glamour of Hollywood but also the culinary expertise of renowned chefs like Wolfgang Puck. The decision to donate leftover food to Skid Row highlights a growing awareness and responsibility towards social issues, such as homelessness, within the entertainment community.
