Viking has announced the float out of the Viking Libra, the world's first hydrogen-powered cruise ship capable of zero emissions. This milestone marks the ship's first contact with water and is a significant step in its construction. Scheduled for delivery
in November 2026, the Viking Libra will operate in the Mediterranean and Northern Europe. The ship features a hybrid propulsion system using liquefied hydrogen and fuel cells, developed in partnership with Fincantieri and Isotta Fraschini Motori. This innovation allows the ship to navigate environmentally sensitive areas without emissions.
