The 'SpongeBob SquarePants'-themed game 'SpongeBob Tower Defense' has launched its 2.0 version on Roblox. This update comes as the game continues to be the highest-earning IP-based game on the platform. Developed by Wonder Works in collaboration with
Nickelodeon and Paramount, the game allows players to use SpongeBob characters as towers to fend off enemies. Since its launch in December 2024, the game has attracted over 633 million visitors and won the Best of IP award at the 2025 Roblox Innovation Awards. The 2.0 update introduces over 50 new assets, including units, mounts, and pets, along with new maps and rewards. All 296 in-game units have been updated and rebalanced.
