What's Happening?
The John Michael Kohler Arts Center in Sheboygan is inviting artists to submit proposals for a unique project titled '2.7 Miles of Imagination: A Rock’s Walk.' The initiative involves devising creative ways to transport a rock 2.7 miles from the Arts Center to the Art Preserve.
Inspired by the art installation 'Rock Fade (≈ 45 Billion Years)' by Lenka Clayton and Phillip Andrew Lewis, the project encourages artists to propose methods that are practical, symbolic, humorous, or poetic. Submissions must include a visual representation and a written justification of 250 words or fewer. The deadline for proposals is May 1, with selected works to be exhibited from June 13 to September 20.
