What's Happening?
The Transformational Philanthropy Institute has introduced the Executive Certificate in Transformational Philanthropy (ECTP), a 36-hour online program aimed at nonprofit leaders. This self-directed course is designed to enhance the skills of senior and
mid-level nonprofit professionals, focusing on building stronger donor relationships and advancing philanthropic impact. The curriculum, developed by Mark Dobosz, draws on the expertise of renowned scholars and practitioners in the field. It covers six core areas, including donor psychology, organizational culture, and major gift strategy. The program also integrates three free diagnostic tools to assess donor alignment and organizational readiness for transformational philanthropy.
Why It's Important?
The launch of the ECTP program addresses a critical need in the nonprofit sector for more strategic and relationship-focused fundraising approaches. By equipping leaders with the tools and knowledge to move beyond transactional fundraising, the program aims to foster a more sustainable and impactful philanthropic environment. This shift is particularly important as nonprofits face increasing pressure to demonstrate their value and effectiveness to donors. The program's emphasis on donor identity and emotional alignment could lead to more meaningful and long-term donor relationships, ultimately enhancing the sector's ability to address complex social issues.
