U-Ming Marine Transport Corp. has celebrated the christening of its new Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) carrier, the Diamond Gas Jade, at the Samsung Heavy Industries Geoje Shipyard. This 174,000-cubic-meter vessel is equipped with advanced energy-saving
technologies and a dual-fuel propulsion engine, designed to enhance environmental efficiency. The vessel is set to begin long-term LNG transportation operations, contributing to global energy logistics. In addition, U-Ming Marine's Board of Directors has approved the construction of eight new vessels, including four 210,000 DWT Capesize and four 64,000 DWT Ultramax bulk carriers. This strategic move is part of the company's 'Dual Growth' plan, aiming to expand its fleet to over 100 vessels with a total deadweight tonnage exceeding 10 million tons. U-Ming Marine currently operates a diverse fleet of 84 vessels, including bulk carriers, VLCCs, VLOCs, and specialized green energy vessels, with a global presence managed through subsidiaries in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Xiamen.
