The Kingpins Show is set to debut a new trade show format in Los Angeles in January 2027. The event, scheduled for January 12-13, will take place near Downtown L.A., although the exact location has not
been disclosed. This new format aims to spotlight the local denim community, including wash houses and design studios, through a festival-inspired approach. The show will feature a hybrid model similar to its annual presentation in China, combining business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) elements. The event will include areas for vintage sellers and local brands, alongside public activities, providing exhibitors with additional exposure within the denim ecosystem. Vivian Wang, CEO of Kingpins Show, emphasized the importance of Los Angeles in the U.S. production landscape and expressed excitement about returning to the city. The show will run for two days, with different exhibitors and programming each day, encouraging attendees to visit both days. This West Coast event will replace the usual January edition of Kingpins New York, which has historically been slower than the July show.
