Giauque Box, a new indie rock band, is making waves in Salt Lake City, Utah. Founded by Jacob Giauque, a biochemistry major at the University of Utah, the band is known for its experimental approach to music. The group consists of six members: Giauque (vocals
and guitar), David Walker (drums), Skyler Spence (vocals and guitar), Ellie Janke (bass), Levi Janke (piano, accordion, and guitar), and Chris Sanchez (trumpet). Each member has a rich history with music, having been involved in it since their youth. The band is inspired by a diverse range of artists, including Fleet Foxes, Dominic Fike, Post Malone, Weezer, and The Black Keys, which influences their eclectic mix of genres such as folk, rock, pop, jazz, metal, punk, new wave, and R&B. Giauque Box recently performed a show in April and is currently focused on writing and recording their own music, with plans to perform again in the fall.
