Goldenrod Therapeutics, Inc., a company focused on treatments for brain inflammation, has successfully completed the initial closing of a $6.5 million Series Seed preferred stock round. This funding round was led by Ataxia Ventures and an affiliate of Fannin
Partners. The proceeds will be used to support the manufacturing, formulation optimization, and IND-enabling studies for their lead candidate, 11h, which targets Friedreich’s Ataxia (FA), a rare neurodegenerative disease. The Phase I study will assess the safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics of 11h, as well as its pharmacodynamic activity and biomarkers of PDE4 pathway modulation. This study aims to provide early evidence of biological activity in humans and inform dose selection for further development across multiple neurodegenerative conditions.
Why It's Important?
