What's Happening?
The annual Rhubarb Festival in Warrensburg is taking place at the town pavilion, marking its sixteenth year as a community-wide event. The festival invites local residents and farmers to donate and sell rhubarb stalks, celebrating the start of the Warrensburgh
Riverfront Farmers’ Market season. Managed by Teresa Whalen, the festival features live music, free coffee, and a sampling table with various rhubarb recipes. The event also emphasizes education, with a master gardener table from Cornell Cooperative Extension providing insights into organic gardening and simple recipe preparation. The festival originated from an idea by Ruth Fruda, known as the town's 'reigning rhubarb expert.'
