What's Happening?
BMW Group has partnered with Rimac Technology to develop an innovative high-voltage battery for the all-electric BMW i7. The collaboration aims to integrate BMW's Gen6 eDrive technology, featuring cylindrical cells with 20% higher energy density, into
the new BMW 7 Series. This advancement is expected to enhance the vehicle's range and charging speed. The high-voltage battery is manufactured at Rimac Technology's facility in Croatia and delivered to BMW's production plant in Dingolfing, Germany. The BMW i7 will debut on April 22nd at events in the US and China.
