Texas State Technical College (TSTC) is initiating a new training program aimed at preparing individuals for careers as data center operators. The program, set to begin on March 9, 2026, at the Industrial Technology Center in Abilene, Texas, is designed to address the growing workforce needs of the data center industry. The 15-week course will cover essential skills such as electrical and mechanical systems, safety, troubleshooting, and facility operations. The curriculum was developed in collaboration with industry partners to ensure it meets current industry standards and demands. The program is open to individuals aged 17 and older, with a total of 12 spaces available. The cost of the course is $4,700 per student.
