Prize, was awarded to BleagLee, a Cameroon-based company that uses AI-powered waste collection to convert waste into premium recycled products. Tanzania's Freshpack Technologies was named the $250,000 Runner-Up for its AI-powered cold storage solution aimed at reducing food waste in Africa. The awards are part of a series of global competitions designed to incentivize technological solutions to economic and environmental challenges. The program attracted over 2,000 entrepreneurs from 100 countries, with 10 semi-finalists selected to pitch their innovations.
