What's Happening?
Outbound Hotels has announced the opening of Outbound Sedona, a new resort set to open on May 7, 2026, following the redevelopment of the former Poco Diablo Resort. Located minutes from Uptown Sedona, the resort will feature 138 rooms, including king

The property, designed in partnership with The Gettys Group, will incorporate modern Pueblo-inspired architecture and design elements that reference the surrounding red rock landscape. The resort will also include The Spa at Outbound Sedona, the first spa for the Outbound Hotels brand, which is scheduled to open on May 15. The spa will feature four treatment rooms, a retail and lobby space, an outdoor adults-only pool, a dry sauna, and a cold plunge. Additional amenities include Moonwater, a two-tiered pool area with hot tubs, fire pits, and views of Bell Rock, as well as a signature restaurant, Lucida, developed in partnership with Folkart Management.
Why It's Important?
The opening of Outbound Sedona is significant as it marks the expansion of the Outbound Hotels brand into a popular tourist destination known for its natural beauty and outdoor activities. This development is expected to boost local tourism and provide new employment opportunities in the area. The resort's focus on wellness and adventure programming, including an on-site Gear Garage for trail equipment and courts for tennis and pickleball, aligns with the growing trend of experiential travel. Additionally, the inclusion of a complimentary hop-on, hop-off service connecting visitors to Sedona trailheads and viewpoints enhances accessibility to the region's attractions. The resort's opening is likely to attract a diverse range of visitors, from wellness enthusiasts to adventure seekers, contributing to the local economy.
What's Next?
As part of its opening events, Outbound Sedona will host Rhythm & Rally Weekend from June 5 to June 7, featuring performances by Arizona-based musicians and tennis and pickleball clinics. An official ribbon-cutting ceremony, in partnership with the Sedona Chamber of Commerce, is scheduled for May 14, 2026. The resort will join the Outbound Hotels portfolio, which includes properties in Jackson Hole, Mammoth Lakes, and Stowe, with additional destinations planned in Yosemite and Park City. The expansion of the Outbound Hotels brand into Sedona and other locations indicates a strategic move to capture a larger share of the hospitality market by offering unique experiences in scenic destinations.
