Television personality Pete Wicks has teamed up with Dulux's creative director Marianne Shillingford to create a bespoke pet nook. This design project is inspired by Wicks' dogs, Rodney, Eric, and his late French bulldog Peggy. The pet nook features 'pet-friendly'
tones and a 'wipeable' finish, reflecting the personalities of Wicks' dogs. This initiative follows research by Dulux indicating that 64% of Brits identify as 'pet parents,' with the number rising to 74% among 18 to 24-year-olds. The survey, which included 1,000 UK pet owners, revealed that over half of the respondents allow their pets to influence their home decor, with 81% setting up dedicated areas for their pets and 19% providing a room of their own. The project coincides with the 65th anniversary of the Dulux Dog.
