What's Happening?
The Garden of Europe campaign, promoting European apples from Poland and kiwis from Greece, has completed its second year in Israel. Despite regional challenges, the campaign has focused on trade and communication initiatives, including a study trip for
Israeli fruit industry professionals to Europe. Participants learned about European fruit production processes and quality standards. The campaign aims to highlight the sustainability and premium quality of European fruits to Israeli consumers and businesses. However, some planned activities were hindered by the current regional situation, with hopes to resume fully in the campaign's third year.
Why It's Important?
This campaign represents a significant effort to strengthen trade relations between Europe and Israel, particularly in the agricultural sector. By promoting European fruits, the campaign seeks to expand market opportunities and enhance consumer awareness of quality and sustainability standards. The initiative also highlights the challenges of conducting international trade amid geopolitical tensions, emphasizing the need for adaptable strategies in global markets. Successful implementation could lead to increased economic ties and mutual benefits for both regions.
