What's Happening?
The NBA has finalized the list of competitors for the upcoming All-Star Slam Dunk and Shooting Stars competitions. Orlando Magic rookie guard Jase Richardson, son of two-time Slam Dunk champion Jason Richardson, will
participate in the Slam Dunk contest. He will compete against San Antonio Spurs rookie forward Carter Bryant, Los Angeles Lakers center Jaxson Hayes, and Miami Heat forward Keshad Johnson. This event marks the All-Star Slam Dunk debut for all four players. Additionally, the NBA has announced the teams for the Shooting Stars competition, which includes a mix of current NBA players and league legends. Team All-Star features Toronto Raptors forward Scottie Barnes, Oklahoma City Thunder center Chet Holmgren, and three-time All-Star Richard Hamilton. Team Cameron includes Duke alumni Jalen Johnson, Kon Knueppel, and Corey Maggette. Team Harper consists of Ron Harper Sr. and his sons Dylan Harper and Ron Harper Jr. Team Knicks is composed of Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, and Allan Houston.
