What's Happening?
Project RED (Rural Education Days) celebrated its 36th year of educating students about agriculture at the Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds. The event, held from April 22 to April 24, welcomed nearly 2,000 third-graders, teachers, and parents from across
the county. Participants engaged in various educational activities, including learning about Michigan's agricultural commodities, meeting farm animals, and understanding environmental conservation. The program, supported by Manchester Community Schools and numerous volunteers, aims to provide hands-on learning experiences and foster an appreciation for agriculture among young students.
