The Sundance Institute has announced that the Sundance Film Festival will be relocating to Boulder, Colorado, starting in 2027. The festival is scheduled to run from January 21 to January 31, 2027. This move marks a significant change from its long-standing
location in Park City, Utah. The new venues for the festival include the University of Colorado Boulder's Macky Auditorium Concert Hall, Muenzinger Auditorium, and Roe Green Theatre, among others. Eugene Hernandez, the festival director, highlighted Boulder's vibrant arts and tech scene as an ideal setting for the festival. The 2026 festival in Park City will be the last in its current location, featuring anniversary screenings and tributes to its history.
