France's fraud authority has fined Shein over 22 million euros for violations related to product traceability and consumer laws. The fines were issued after an investigation into several e-commerce platforms, focusing on non-European companies. The first
fine of 5.77 million euros was directed at Infinite Styles Ecommerce Limited for failing to respect the 14-day withdrawal period and omitting mandatory traceability information. A second fine of 16.73 million euros was imposed on Infinite Styles Services Limited for breaches in consumer law, including missing information on product pricing and delivery times. Shein has criticized the fines as disproportionate and discriminatory.
