What's Happening?
TomaGold Corporation has announced significant assay results from its drilling campaign at the Berrigan Mine project in the Chibougamau mining camp, Québec. The company reported high-grade zinc equivalent
(ZnEq) and gold equivalent (AuEq) mineralizations, with notable findings including a 6.68% ZnEq over 48.05 meters and a 39.03% ZnEq over 2.90 meters in drill hole TOM-25-009. These results confirm the presence of high-grade gold-bearing polymetallic vein systems within an extensive mineralized envelope. The company has identified a major hydrothermal footprint, which provides valuable exploration guidance for potential extensions. TomaGold is conducting a Borehole EM survey to identify new targets and plans to integrate these findings into their resource model.
Why It's Important?
The discovery of high-grade mineralizations at the Berrigan Mine is significant for TomaGold Corporation as it enhances the potential for future mining operations and resource expansion. This development could attract further investment and partnerships, boosting the company's financial standing and market position. The identification of a hydrothermal footprint suggests the possibility of discovering additional mineral resources, which could increase the mine's economic viability. For the mining industry, such findings underscore the potential of the Chibougamau mining camp as a valuable resource area, potentially leading to increased exploration and development activities in the region.
What's Next?
TomaGold plans to receive additional assay results in January 2026 for five more drill holes, which will test the lateral and depth extensions of the mineralized envelope. The company will integrate these results with geophysical data to refine their exploration strategy. A field exploration program is also being planned, with Phase 2 drilling to follow the completion of Phase 1. These steps aim to further delineate the mineral resources and assess the full potential of the Berrigan Mine project.
