The Hernando De Soto Historical Society held its 87th annual Grande Parade in downtown Bradenton, attracting over 100,000 guests. The event, one of the largest and oldest parades in the Southeastern U.S., featured over 150 entries, including floats, bands,
and community groups. Main sponsor Cox Chevrolet celebrated its 100th anniversary by showcasing 15 cars and a boat in the parade. The parade route spanned 1.7 miles, with roads closed from noon to accommodate the large crowds. Pre-parade festivities included a party sponsored by iHeart Radio and the Heintz Law Firm, featuring food trucks and entertainment.
