Stellantis and Dongfeng Group have announced a strategic cooperation agreement to expand their partnership by producing new energy vehicles in China. The agreement involves the Dongfeng Peugeot Citroën Automobile Co., Ltd (DPCA) joint venture, which will
produce Peugeot and Jeep models at its Wuhan plant. The production is set to begin in 2027, with the vehicles intended for both the Chinese market and global export. This initiative is supported by favorable automotive policies in Hubei province and Wuhan municipality, with a combined investment of over 8 billion Chinese Yuan (approximately 1 billion euros). Stellantis is expected to contribute around 130 million euros to this project.
