Alpha and Omega Semiconductor Limited (AOS) has announced the commencement of production for its Intelligent Power Module (IPM5) products at the newly inaugurated Kaynes Semicon facility in Sanand, Gujarat,
India. This marks a significant expansion of AOS's global manufacturing capabilities. The facility, which was opened with the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will produce high-volume IPM5 modules that integrate 17 different dies into a single package. These modules are designed for next-generation motor controls and energy-efficient appliances. The collaboration between AOS and Kaynes Semicon represents a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing semiconductor packaging and testing capabilities, bridging expertise between Sanand and Silicon Valley.
