Schneider Electric has partnered with the World Economic Forum to advance the Lighthouse Operating System (Lighthouse OS), a framework designed to modernize manufacturing processes. The Lighthouse OS is an open-source blueprint that incorporates successful
practices from industrial sites, structured into a path that manufacturers can follow. Developed by the World Economic Forum’s Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Supply Chains, the system is built around six core principles: adaptable processes, transparent flows, synchronization, sustainability, learning, and digital capability. Schneider Electric, with over 20 years of experience in refining operating systems, contributes its expertise to this initiative, which aims to help manufacturers assess their current operations and scale improvements at their own pace.
