Hershey has announced that it will revert to using classic recipes for all Reese's products starting in 2027. This decision follows public criticism from Brad Reese, the grandson of the founder of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, who criticized the company
for using cheaper ingredients in some of its products. Currently, some Reese's products, such as mini Easter eggs, are made with a coating that contains less chocolate. Hershey plans to transition these products back to their original milk chocolate and dark chocolate recipes. Additionally, the company will make other changes to its sweets portfolio, including using natural colors and enhancing the Kit-Kat recipe. Hershey also plans to increase its research and development funding by 25% next year.
