What's Happening?
The Western Association of Chamber Executives (WACE) has announced the launch of the Chamber AI Mastery Program, a three-month professional development initiative aimed at Chamber of Commerce professionals. This program, developed in partnership with the Tourism AI Network and NextGen Destination Marketing, is designed to help chamber leaders and their staff understand and implement artificial intelligence tools in their operations. Starting in April 2026, the program will offer monthly virtual learning classes through two tracks: the Leader’s Track and the Do’er Track. These sessions will cover a range of topics from AI fundamentals to advanced applications in chamber operations, member engagement, and business development. The program aims
to provide practical and actionable AI skills to chamber professionals across Western North America.
Why It's Important?
The introduction of the Chamber AI Mastery Program is significant as it addresses the growing need for chamber leaders to stay ahead of technological trends that are reshaping business operations. By equipping chamber professionals with AI skills, the program enhances their ability to support local business communities effectively. This initiative not only fosters AI literacy among chamber leaders but also positions them as valuable resources for their member companies navigating the AI revolution. The collaboration between WACE, Tourism AI Network, and NextGen Destination Marketing brings together expertise in chamber professional development, AI training, and digital marketing innovation, which is crucial for the successful adoption of AI in the tourism and business sectors.
What's Next?
Participants in the Chamber AI Mastery Program can expect to engage in interactive 90-minute sessions each month, starting in April 2026. These sessions will provide hands-on exercises and cover essential topics such as AI fundamentals, context engineering, and building AI helpers. The program is designed to ensure that chamber professionals can immediately apply the concepts learned to their work. Early registration is encouraged due to limited cohort sizes, which are intended to facilitate meaningful interaction and personalized attention. As chamber professionals gain AI skills, they are likely to become more effective in their roles and better equipped to guide their member companies through the challenges and opportunities presented by AI technologies.
