What's Happening?
The Critics Choice Association held its eighth annual Celebration of Black Cinema and Television in Los Angeles, highlighting the contributions of Black artists in the entertainment industry. The event, hosted at the Fairmont Century Plaza, was led by comedian and actor Jay Pharoah. It recognized a diverse group of influential figures, including Spike Lee, David Alan Grier, Sterling K. Brown, Tessa Thompson, Jurnee Smollett, Janelle James, Skye P. Marshall, and Damson Idris. The ceremony featured the presentation of the Ensemble Award to the cast of Paul Thomas Anderson's film 'One Battle After Another'. Chase Infiniti, a standout performer from the film, expressed gratitude for the lessons learned from her co-stars, Teyana Taylor and Regina
Hall. Taylor, reflecting on her career, expressed aspirations to take on superhero roles in the future.
