Fanatics, a sporting apparel company, has announced the permanent closure of its Oak Creek distribution center located in Riverview, Florida. This decision, detailed in a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act notice dated November 14, will affect 286 employees. The facility is scheduled to close by July 31, 2026, with the first separations beginning on March 1. The employees at this facility will not have bumping rights and are not covered by any bargaining agreement. Fanatics acquired the Oak Creek site following its acquisition of the athletic apparel brand Majestic in 2017. A spokesperson for Fanatics stated that the facility can no longer support the scale, technology, and innovation required to meet the company's long-term goals.
This closure is part of Fanatics' ongoing adjustments to its operational footprint in Florida, which included the closure of a warehouse in Jacksonville last year, affecting 218 employees.
