The Augusta area high school boys basketball teams have been recognized for their outstanding performances in the 2025-26 season. The Cross Creek boys basketball team emerged as the sole Augusta GHSA program to clinch a state championship, defeating Harlem
with a close score of 56-51. Meanwhile, Butler High School made a significant run to the state title game but narrowly missed victory with a 53-52 overtime loss. In South Carolina, the North Augusta boys team secured the SCHSL Class 4A state championship, highlighting the region's strong basketball talent.
