What's Happening?
The Stellantis Vigo plant in Spain has produced its 17-millionth vehicle, an Opel Combo Electric, marking a significant milestone for the facility. This is the first Opel model to be manufactured at the plant, which has been operational since 1958. The milestone vehicle is equipped
with a 100kW electric motor and a 50kW/h battery, offering a range of up to 334km under WLTP conditions. The Vigo plant has a long history of producing various models, including electric variants since 1995. The current-generation Opel Combo has been produced at Vigo since 2018, with 370,000 units manufactured to date, 92% of which are exported. The plant also produces other light commercial vehicles like the Citroën Berlingo and Peugeot Rifter.
