What's Happening?
Clemson University has achieved its highest single-year Academic Progress Rate (APR) score in school history, with a score of 998 out of 1,000 according to the NCAA's latest data release. This report covers the academic years from 2021-22 to 2024-25.

Why It's Important?
The achievement of a high APR score is crucial for Clemson as it underscores the university's commitment to the academic success of its student-athletes. This accomplishment not only enhances the university's reputation but also serves as a powerful recruiting tool. Prospective students and athletes are likely to be attracted to a program that emphasizes both athletic and academic excellence. The APR score reflects the university's ability to maintain eligibility, retention, and progress toward graduation for its athletes, which is a key measure of success in collegiate sports.
What's Next?
Clemson is expected to leverage this academic success in its recruitment strategies, highlighting the balance between athletics and academics. The university may also continue to invest in resources that support student-athletes academically. Other institutions might look to Clemson's model as a benchmark for improving their own academic programs for athletes.
