Netafim, a leading Israeli manufacturer of precision agriculture equipment, has inaugurated a significant manufacturing plant in Hermosillo, Mexico. The 30,000-square-meter facility is designed to supply farmers across North and Central America with advanced
drip irrigation systems. These systems are equipped with state-of-the-art automation to ensure high quality, efficiency, and reliability. The plant is expected to create approximately 200 direct jobs and stimulate local economic growth by supporting regional suppliers and service providers. Netafim, founded in 1965 in Kibbutz Hatzerim, Israel, has grown into a global leader in drip irrigation, with 33 subsidiaries and 19 manufacturing plants worldwide. The company was acquired by the Mexican conglomerate Orbia in 2017, which now owns 80% of Netafim.
