Starpath Space has launched a new line of ultra-thin space solar panels, named Starlight Air, which are significantly lighter than existing options. Weighing just 73 grams per square meter, these panels are priced at approximately $15 per watt. The innovative
design uses a photovoltaic crystalline structure and a substrate fabric to enhance durability and handleability. This development allows satellites to increase power capacity without escalating launch costs. Starpath's CEO, Saurav Shroff, emphasized the panels' potential to transform satellite design by minimizing mass and maximizing power efficiency.
