What's Happening?
Ironveld has implemented significant technical improvements at its Lapon plant in Limpopo, following a metallurgical audit aimed at addressing product variability. The upgrades include enhanced water supply systems, optimized sizing cyclone placement,
and a new magnetic separator for improved product purity. Despite a minor delay due to weather, the company expects to commence first deliveries of DMS-grade magnetite in May, with plans to reach full production capacity by the end of the year. Ironveld is also exploring additional offtake agreements as production stabilizes.
Why It's Important?
The technical enhancements at Ironveld's Lapon plant are crucial for increasing production efficiency and product quality.
