among 1,226 marketers from the U.S., U.K., and Australia, found that only 35% met the benchmark for marketing knowledge. Notably, 40% of those who met the benchmark had formal training, compared to just 9% without. The survey highlights the growing importance of formal education, such as marketing degrees and professional certifications, in an industry increasingly influenced by artificial intelligence (AI). Over half of the marketers expressed concerns about job security due to AI advancements, emphasizing the need for human marketers to enhance their collaborative skills to remain relevant.
