ZDF Studios has entered into a new agreement with Talpa Network, a Dutch commercial group, to provide free-TV rights for approximately 250 episodes of the German crime series 'SOKO'. This deal marks the third collaboration between the two companies and includes episodes from 'SOKO Potsdam', 'SOKO Hamburg', 'SOKO Köln', and 'SOKO Wismar'. The 'SOKO' series, known for its locally rooted, case-driven procedurals, has been a long-standing franchise with a significant international presence. It has been sold to various territories, including the U.S., Canada, and several European and Asian countries. The series has also received numerous industry accolades, including nominations and awards from the German Television Award and the Monte Carlo TV Festival.
