What's Happening?
Wilderness Reserve, a 6,000-acre private estate located in Suffolk's Yox Valley, has announced the appointment of Erika Steward as the new Director of Hospitality Sales. This move is part of the estate's strategic growth under the leadership of Chief
Operating Officer Francisco Macedo. Erika Steward brings a wealth of experience from her previous roles, including her position as Group Head of Sales at Andrew Brownsword Hotels, which encompasses a portfolio of thirteen luxury properties. Her extensive background in the luxury leisure market and her connections with networks such as Virtuoso and Relais & Châteaux are expected to enhance the estate's leisure sales strategy and boost group bookings. Wilderness Reserve comprises three estates—Sibton Park, Chapel Barn, and Blyth Barn—offering a range of accommodations from one-bedroom cottages to larger Spa Houses.
Why It's Important?
The appointment of Erika Steward is significant for Wilderness Reserve as it seeks to expand its presence in the luxury hospitality market. Her expertise and industry connections are likely to attract more high-end clientele, thereby increasing the estate's revenue and market share. This move reflects a broader trend in the hospitality industry where luxury properties are increasingly focusing on personalized and exclusive experiences to differentiate themselves in a competitive market. The success of this strategy could influence other luxury estates to adopt similar approaches, potentially reshaping the landscape of luxury hospitality sales.
