What's Happening?
PitchBook has announced a new partnership with Harvey, an AI platform for legal and professional services, to integrate its private market data into legal and deal workflows. This integration allows licensed users to access PitchBook's data on private companies,
deals, funds, and investors directly within Harvey using natural language prompts. The collaboration aims to enhance the efficiency of legal and deal teams by providing them with trusted market data in the same workspace where they draft and review documents. The integration is built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and is available to Harvey customers starting in June.
Why It's Important?
This integration is significant as it represents a strategic move to leverage advanced technology in the legal and financial sectors. By providing direct access to reliable market data, the partnership enhances the accuracy and efficiency of financial models and legal documents. This development is particularly important for deal teams and legal advisors who require precise data for investment committee memos, term sheet comparisons, and other critical documents. The collaboration underscores the growing trend of integrating AI into professional services to streamline workflows and improve decision-making processes.
What's Next?
The integration is expected to be available to Harvey customers starting in June, allowing them to seamlessly incorporate PitchBook's data into their workflows. As AI continues to evolve, the demand for reliable data sources will likely increase, prompting further collaborations between data providers and AI platforms. This partnership may also encourage other companies in the legal and financial sectors to explore similar integrations to enhance their service offerings.
