Thea Jackson, a senior at Mt. Hope, has been recognized as this week's Hometown Sports Hero for her outstanding achievements in track and field. Jackson secured three gold medals at the RIIL State Indoor Track Meet, excelling in the 55-meters, high jump,
and long jump events. Her success marks her as the first athlete from her school to win three titles at the state meet. Jackson, who initially excelled in soccer, discovered her passion for track in eighth grade and has since focused on the sport.
