What's Happening?
Troy University's Student Made Store will feature a tent at TroyFest, showcasing products from 26 student creators. The event, held in downtown Troy, will display a variety of handmade items, including TROY sports stickers, phone cases, jewelry, crochet
accessories, and more. The Student Made Store aims to provide a platform for student entrepreneurs to market their creations and gain real-world business experience. The tent will be located near the IDEA Bank, a hub for entrepreneurship at the university. TroyFest will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
Why It's Important?
The participation of the Student Made Store in TroyFest highlights the importance of fostering entrepreneurship among students. By providing a venue for students to sell their products, Troy University supports the development of business skills and creativity. This initiative not only benefits the students by offering practical experience but also enriches the local community by introducing unique, locally-made products. The event underscores the role of educational institutions in promoting innovation and economic development at the grassroots level.
