Canadian Olympic bronze medalist pole vaulter Alysha Newman has been banned from her sport for 20 months due to missed drug tests. The Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) reported that Newman was unavailable for doping control sessions on three occasions within

Despite the ban, the AIU acknowledged that Newman had decided to end her career as a pole vaulter, which influenced the decision to reduce her suspension from the standard two years.
