The Maryland Energetics Innovation Hub (MEIH) has officially broken ground in Charles County, marking a significant development in the region's economic landscape. The project is spearheaded by the Charles County Economic Development Department, the American
Center for Manufacturing & Innovation (ACMI), and the Energetics Technology Center. The hub aims to accelerate energetics production, process innovation, and advanced manufacturing. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division has contributed $50 million to support the hub's development.
