Ski Mountaineering, also known as SkiMo, is making its debut at the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics. This new event combines elements of Alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, uphill skiing, and boot packing into a single race format. The competition includes a men's and women's sprint event and a mixed relay event. Team USA is represented by athletes Anna Gibson and Cam Smith. The events will be held at the Stelvio Ski Center in Bormio, Italy, and will be broadcast on USA and streamed on Peacock. The schedule includes men's and women's sprints on February 19 and a mixed team relay on February 21.
