What's Happening?
Star Copper, a Canadian mineral exploration company, is advancing its integrated three-dimensional geological model at the Star Project located in northwestern British Columbia, Canada. The company's CEO, Darryl Jones, has indicated that the 2026 drilling
program could be a 'game-changing event' for the company. The evolving 3D model, along with a deep-penetrating 3D geophysical program planned for 2026, is expected to enhance drill targeting. This model delineates a well-defined near-surface supergene enrichment zone, a transition oxide zone, and a broader hypogene copper sulphide system that remains open along strike and at depth, extending beyond 700 meters vertically. The upcoming 3D geophysical survey aims to image chargeability and resistivity to depths exceeding 750 meters, with magnetotellurics resistivity capable of extending beyond 1,500 meters. This survey is expected to uncover deep chargeability anomalies associated with sulphide mineralization and map intrusive bodies and alteration shells at depth.
