What's Happening?
Hagerstown Community College (HCC) is set to host a Student Arts Showcase at the Kepler Center, featuring works from students enrolled in visual arts studio courses. The exhibition, running from April 23 to May 1, will display a variety of art forms including
drawing, painting, photography, digital art, two-dimensional design, ceramics, and visual art capstone projects. The showcase will be open to the public during weekdays, and an opening reception is scheduled for April 23, which will include musical performances and creative readings by HCC students.
Why It's Important?
The Student Arts Showcase at HCC provides a platform for emerging artists to display their work, fostering creativity and artistic expression within the community. It offers students the opportunity to gain exposure and experience in presenting their art to the public, which is essential for their professional development. Additionally, the event enriches the local cultural scene by making diverse forms of art accessible to the public, encouraging community engagement with the arts.
